ASMR
In-person ASMR Sessions
Have you ever felt a warm, tingling wave move across your scalp when someone played with your hair, or a wash of calm settle in when you heard a soft, close whisper? Are you one of the millions of people watching ASMR videos every day and wish you could experience it in person?
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, or ASMR, is a sensory experience triggered by specific sounds and touch, things like light scratching, gentle brushing, or slow, repetitive movement near the scalp, face, and ears. For many people, these triggers create a tingling sensation that starts at the crown of the head and travels down the neck and spine, followed by a deep, full-body calm. It's the nervous system shifting out of fight-or-flight and into rest.
Before your session, you will be sent a form to fill out regarding your touch and sound preferences.
This service is completely non-sexual in nature. You will be conservatively draped at all times, just like during a massage.
Only available for women.
60 Mins - $95
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your session opens with a short conversation about what feels good to you and anything you'd like me to avoid. From there, I move through a sequence of triggers, hair brushing, scalp and ear massage, light face brushing and scratching, soft sounds and whispering, adjusting the pace and pressure based on how your body responds. If you'd like light back massage included, we'll talk through that beforehand and I'll keep you conservatively draped. Sessions are quiet and unhurried.
-
Not quite. Massage works with muscle and tissue. ASMR is about the sensory response triggered by light, repetitive touch and sound. Some clients feel the same deep relaxation from both, just by a different route.
-
For most of the session, yes. Many of the triggers, hair brushing, scalp and ear massage, face brushing, are done fully clothed. If we incorporate light touch or massage on the back, you're welcome to disrobe to your comfort level and I'll keep you conservatively draped throughout, the same standard I use in my massage sessions. We can talk through what feels right for you before we begin.
-
Something comfortable, without a lot of texture near your collar or hairline. Simple, soft fabrics let you feel the triggers most clearly.
-
Completely okay. Most first-time clients don't know yet, and that's part of what the session is for. I'll walk you through a variety of triggers so you can notice what your body responds to.
-
Not at all. Millions of people watch ASMR videos every day because so many of us are craving human, non-sexual touch. We miss the feeling of having our hair brushed by a mother, a caregiver, a sister. Think of how comforting it was to have your back gently touched to help you fall asleep, or the way certain sounds have always settled your mind without you knowing why. This session brings that same comfort into an intentional, caring space.
